An update about me

Once again, I haven't updated my blog page for half a year now, may be I just don't have a habit of writing down things that happened to my life or I am just a lazy bum bum. Anyways, looking back, I have gone back to HK for more than a year now, actually 15 months to be exact. LOADS happened to me except for my relationship status, let's get organized and tell you guys bit by bit, if you are interested in my boring life at all..

WORK - To cut a VERY LONG story short, joined this company on March doing some business support role, that's my first formal permanent job and I am the youngest and inexperienced so I didn't mind doing the shitty, boring, repetitive stuff.. you name it.. and then, there comes the turning point. At the annual review I told my boss, the MD of the comp that I want to switch to research (by the way I am working in an executive search comp now, aka headhunting) - one of the two key areas of our business. Actually I was prepared to do some selling of myself, but surprisingly he was ULTRA supportive and arranged a meeting for the Head of research in the next day.. blah blah blah.. things went well and so here I am... started this role for like almost 3 weeks now.. basically when I do is being part of the research team and provide business intelligence service to clients - aka coldcalling. Sounds easy but it's actually ULTRA hard, not joking. In order to get what you need, you need to talk to the right person (this is difficult too especially for me who has kindergarden level financial market knowledge), ask them right questions, and for most of the time - l.u.c.k. I am so glad that I happen to have a good start, but I have to say, every assignment is a new challenge and I just have to get on with it and kick some ass!

wow i haven't updated my xanga for two months, i don't even know i can change the font colours until now

so then.. my parents went to thailand to celebrate their 25th anniversary, of course i hope they are having a good time but at the same time, i am all by myself at home  i have to do all the laundry and cooking, but the most scary thing is that i just have to check whether the door is locked for three times before i go to bed, may be i was too nervous about some thief might come into my house in the middle of the nite. and since i don't want to wake up in the middle of the nite, i will make sure the door is locked.

besides that, life in hong kong is fine so far, except i still don't have a decent enough job!! one thing worth mentioning is that it really feels great to be a daughter at home, like my parents treat me like a little kid now, woohoo! and i am the only child at home so i get all the attention and love  never have this feeling for like........ who knows how long???
